2010 Indoor Hockey Season Starting Soon ...
With this being the World Indoor Cup year, changes to the dates for National Championships (a couple of weeks earlier has meant the State Open Mens Championships are also earlier (16 & 17 Oct).
This means our competition (mens & Juniors) will be starting earlier also so start organising your Indoor teams NOW!

2009 NSW Vets Champions
Congratulations to all who participated in the 2nd NSW Mens Vets Indoor Championships. Both teams performed well with the No.1 team winning the state Indoor Championships.
Both of the Illawarra Mens teams performed with excellent sportsmanship throughout the tournament ... this was rewarded by Illawarra winning the NSW 'Play the Whistle' award for the tournament.

2009 U17 State Champions
Illawarra have again won the Division A NSW U17 State Championships held at Unanderra (& the University of Wollongong for the first time).
Congratulations to all the players, management and coaching staff for a very dominating tournament and a very disciplined final win against Newcastle 5 goals to 3.

2009 U15 State Champions
Congratulations to our Victorious U15 Division 1 team for again winning the State Championships (a very close win 5 - 4 over Newcastle)
Our second team playing in division 3 unfortunately were beaten in the Semi-Finals and our third team from all accounts learned a lot and had a very enjoyable tournament.
A big thank you to all coaches, managers, umpires and parents for very successful weekend.

2009 U13 State Champions
A huge congratulations to our Victorious U13 Division A team in winning the NSW State U13 Championships at Port Macquarie beating Grafton 7 goals to 3 in the final. The team truly dominated in the tournament.
Our B Division team played well over the weekend against some very strong competition and maintained their position in B Division for next year.
Well done to the coaching and management staff again this year.

2009 State Senior Mens Champions
Illawarra Men's No.1 Open Team are State Champions again (third year in a row) after an exciting 7 goals to 4 win over Penrith. Led by Captain and Australian Indoor Hockey player Simon Beaton the team dominated during the Tournament winning all seven games over the weekend.
Our Illawarra No.2 Team played extremely well in A division led by Steve McInness & Scott Mathews just missing out on the Semi Finals.
Our B division Illawarra No.3 Team were narrowly beaten by Sydney 2 in the Semi Final 5 goals to 3.

2008 U13 State Champions - Congratulations!!!
A little delayed in announcing but the Illawarra white team won the Division 1 U13 State Championships last weekend (Sunday 2nd November 2008) in a nail biting final 6 goals to 5 after extra time against Sydney. This was even more remarkable considering the championship was played on the tiny non regulation sized courts at Port Macquarie.
Thanks must go to Hockey NSW for allowing Illawarra to field a team in second division who also performed very well on the weekend.
Thanks to coaches and managers for the weekend and a special thanks to Donna Rieck for all her coordinating in getting these teams away.

2008 U15 State Champions !! - Congratulations
Illawarra have just won the under 15 NSW Indoor Hockey Championships in Maitland winning a nail biting 5 goals to 4 in extra time. Thanks to Hockey NSW for allowing Illawarra to submit a 2nd Division team who played well during the championship.
Again a great thanks to the coaches and managers who took time out to help make this championship a success for all concerned.

2008 U17 State Champions!!!
Congratulations to our Division 1 Under 17 team who beat Sydney 2 in a very close fought final 7 goals to 5 last weekend. The state championships this year were played at the central coast.
Our Division 2 team played very well just missing out on the semi finals. Well done to all involved.

2008 State Senior Mens Champions
Congratulations to all three of our teams that competed in the NSW Open Men's State Championships.
Illawarra are 1st Division AND 2nd Division State Champions !!! with our 3rd team being narrowly beaten in the Semi Final of 2nd Division.
An truly fantastic result for all of us in the Illawarra. Well Done!

2008/9 Vets State Champions - Congratulations!
Illawarra finished the 2008/9 Indoor Representative season winning the last of the representative fixtures -> the NSW Men's Veterans State championships.
This has meant that for the first time since NSW have run junior & open State Championships has a single association won every possible division. Congratulations to all those involved with our dedicated and talented representative players.
